The hotel industry is bracing for a flood of hotel supply orders from the United States as the holiday season kicks off.

The International Hotel Association (IHA) says it will start shipping to its members the supplies they need for Christmas.

We are expecting a lot of supply coming from the US.

“We are seeing an enormous amount of hotel demand and we’re expecting to have an incredible amount of supply, especially for Christmas, IHA President Craig Gillett said.

IHA members will start receiving supplies this week.

They can expect to receive orders from November 25, he said.”

We’re going to ship a lot more than we’ve ever shipped before.”IHA member Matt Jones said he expects hotels to be busy, especially the US, during the holiday.”

There will be a huge influx of supplies this year.

“There will just be a lot going out.”

The holiday season has been marked by a surge in hotel demand, and IHA expects to see the same from US hotels as demand for accommodation increases in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and other countries.

More than two million hotel guests visited hotels in Australia last year, more than any other time in history, and the number of hotel room nights was more than three times higher than it was in 2008.

About 70 per cent of hotel rooms in Australia were occupied on New Year’s Day, with the majority of those nights booked during the festive period.

This year’s demand for hotel accommodation is set to continue as hotels continue to make more and more room available.

While IHA members can expect the most immediate supply from the supply, there are other retailers in the market.

Holiday supply retailer Alisa is looking to add its own supply, while Melbourne’s Redpath Group is offering holiday supplies from New Zealand.

There is also a shortage of bedding and towels at hotels, which can make it difficult for some customers to make a booking.
